In my classroom, each child has access to iReady on their Chromebook, which is a program that customizes each of the lessons for every individual student. This is an excellent way for me to pinpoint the needs of every student in my class and monitor their progress.
With my students being at several different levels with their reading and mathematics, I need to be able to meet each child where they are and give them the necessary tools to advance them for individual success.
Having one pair of headphones for every student in my class will help me to keep each student engaged while I pull my small groups for intervention or to challenge my advanced students with more rigorous coursework. In addition, my children love Amelia Bedelia for all reading levels, and Encyclopedia Brown for my above level readers; therefore, by getting a classroom set, I can plan differentiated work for their stations with books that they are interested in. Finally, with the STEM kit, my students will be able to conduct experiences that cross-reference several standards in a fun, stimulating way!
