We will be able to have access to personal technology as we engage in center work, research, and academic exploration. Students in the resource room with IEP's (Individual Education Programs) are often overlooked or last to have access to the newer technology. In this way, sometimes students feel as if the resource room is not a "real" class. I want them to know that the resource classroom is just as valuable as any other classroom that they go to. Students in special education can do more than they are often given credit for, and the work that they do in the Resource Room is important not only to their academic growth, but also their self-esteem.
