By having a small laptop charging cart for the classroom, our students can demonstrate their individual responsibility to an increased level by having an organized charging space for each laptop. No longer will they wonder if their laptop will be available, sanitary, or in need of a charge. They can enter the classroom and immediately gather their laptop and begin their assignment. As students learn lifelong skills of order, responsibility and efficiency, they should be able to transfer them to other school settings or work environments. These laptops are essential for the individualized reading program they are using which is website based. We may also check out computers for distance learning on a as need basis.
Since many of our students read multiple grades below their grade level, it is essential that we provide the means for them to be successful in their program.
Quality earphones are also needed for much of the instruction is orally presented and those make listening and learning more effective. In the days of Covid 19 it is important to be able to sanitize items that the students so personally have contact with.
