Our current classroom does not have a technology cart that projects sound from the desktop computer. Students will be better engaged during whole group instruction if they can actually hear the video from desktop speakers. Also, we are attempting to implement coding program this year, and it would be great to have headphones for students who can work independently. The voice amplifier/microphone is an effective tool during direct teaching that eliminates the loud or distracting background noises such as the air conditioner or hallway noise. Also since all of our students are learning a new language, the amplifier helps to hear the pronunciation of the new vocabulary. It would also help with the special needs students who would benefit from sitting close to the amplifier to hear instructions and eliminate the background noise.
