I need to attend a workshop to learn more about Coding at the Pathfinders Institute in Rhode Island. Coding can help prepare my students for the future since it allows students with communication, creativity, writing, science, and math. Therefore, I want to learn how to implement Scratch Jr: Coding as a Playground and KIBO Robotics in my classroom. This coding program helps students with programming and computational thinking. Also, it supports students with solving real-world problems and using problem-solving strategies, which is emerging as general literacy in the digital age. Receiving training in the Scratch Jr. program will help me prepare my students for the future. My students will continue to seek opportunities to use coding in their school career.
