I believe that students learn best when they are allowed to take ownership of their learning.
Not all children learn sitting in a chair behind a desk. Students become more engaged in activities and are able to focus better when they feel like they have a choice on where they sit to complete their work. This project will allow my students to have different flexible seating options that get them out from behind a desk and interacting with other students while engaging in learning.
My students will have the choice of working where they think they can learn best based on their individual learning style. This could be on the floor with a lap desk, in a comfy chair or on the couch working with a partner.
