My fourth graders will use these books on a daily basis. Students will be interacting with the texts through independent reading activities, literature circles, and book clubs. This variety of texts and genres will allow students to self select books as well as to explore literary worlds previously foreign to them. Also, the availability of leveled books will make it possible for every student to read a book that is "just right" for him/her. This is crucial for teachers when planning small group instruction!
Imagine opening your favorite book for the first time again. That is the feeling my fourth graders are guaranteed to experience throughout this school year. With your support, a young fourth grade classroom library will bud into a literary haven.
