Despite the challenges of distance learning, my kindergarten students have been working incredibly hard from their homes. However, many of them have little to no access to children's books or have limited access to books in one language.
These books will enable us to have fun, relevant books for virtual read alouds, inspiration for reading, writing, science, social studies, and art lessons, and will help us facilitate discussions about diversity, empathy and acceptance.
Once we return to school, we will add the books to our classroom library. We are very excited to grow our bilingual classroom library and promote bilingualism and biliteracy!
