This project will help me kick off the year with materials that will add value to my students' education. By creating a welcoming and safe space in the classroom, and providing students with resources that help foster innovative and engaging lessons they all will benefit academically and emotionally. This project aids in providing all students with an equitable education through materials that make a classroom feel like home. Getting hired just three days before the school year began has made it difficult to prepare and purchase the many things needed to ensure a classroom is stocked for the many amazing students to come! Thank you for supporting my first classroom as I begin the amazing journey of teaching the children of our community.
The stools will give students the option for flexible seating inside the classroom, math and reading games will be used to differentiate for learners during small group time with the teacher, the Elephant and Piggie, Dr. Seuss, and Pigeon and Pete the Cat books are some of my students all time favorites, they will be read during read aloud and enjoyed by students during read to self time! The white boards will be used for whole group math problem solving and small group time! Caddies and book boxes will support students as they learn to organize and take care of their supplies. Legos and Peradix building games will be used during engineering time. Skin color paper and pencils will be used to create accurate self portraits of ourselves as we celebrate our diversity. Craft paper, and colored pens will be used to create art in the classroom all year long! Thank you for giving to my well deserving students!
