This is the first year our school is going to straight grade level classrooms of 6th, 7th and 8th grade. In an effort to help our students become more quickly acclimated to our newly assigned classrooms and to each other, I will use the the Post-its to do team-building and get to know you activities as we learn about each other as individuals in our community throughout the year. This may include basic all about me info, thoughts on certain topics, beliefs, dreams, goals, traditions, appreciations, etc. We will also use some Post-its in our everyday academic learning as well. This year students will begin to use large binders as a way to be organized and in charge of their learning. The three ring binders, hole punches and dividers will help teach them strategies to use throughout life to manage their materials, deadlines, and time.
