Kindergarten students by nature are curious about their surroundings. This curiosity can make it difficult for some to attend to a task in a specific area. Now account for the fact that most kindergarten students struggle with reading. The ability to section off a specific area of a room with the use of inviting, comfortable furniture will greatly help my students attend to the task of learning to love reading.
The blocks an accompanying shelf will help create a natural area for students to design and build their own creations next to our math corner. The shelf will provide a visual barrier for blocks. The back side of the shelf will provide another surface to hang math vocabulary.
