Students are able to use tablets so that they are able to access appropriate games and sites that will support their learning in Literacy and Math. Doing so will build their fluency with technology skills.
Your donation and support would allow all of the students in my class to have learning experiences that fit their individual needs!
There are amazing applications for the tablet that will allow them to record their work as well as to explain their thinking. They can share this with me electronically, and I can then watch it later, (so I can "be there" virtually with all kids when I cannot actually sit next to them) as well as share it with parents. Learning examples on these Samsung tablets include (but not limited): -Kidblog: students can write, record, edit, and title their own writing -QR Codes: barcodes scanned by students will open up specific videos like sight word reading, poetry, monarch butterflies, math rapping, etc. -Videos/ Pictures: students can share published art, writing, and create projects -Math: practice math skills, number formation, and problem solving at level -Reading: apps allow students to read text to themselves or follow along as they are being read to… The possibilities are endless!
We appreciate any help we can get!
Thank you!
