My students are thirsty for knowledge and experiences. A majority come from low socioeconomic families with a large percentage also being ELL (English Language Learners). My 4th graders are working hard to close learning gaps. We are currently using direct instruction programs for math, reading, and grammar. It is my goal to provide hands on activities to increase their imagination, creativity, and critical thinking/inquiry skills. I want my students to be well-rounded young people ready to take on their next adventure when they leave 4th grade!
