This project is all about the hands-on learning of capacitors in circuits for our AP Physics 1 & 2 courses! First off, is a wonderful large demo of a two-plate capacitor.
That awesome demo of a capacitor will give our students the "aha" moment far more than any video or simulation.
Next up is a class set of 1 Farad capacitors. These will be used directly by students for their exploratory lab experiment in Chapter 19 coming soon. I am ordering enough so that our collaborative lab groups can be small enough for all students to have a meaningful role.
Last is a much-need physical copy of our college-level textbook. Although students have access to a digital copy, many to not have internet at home, and therefore have great difficulty completing their readings and assignments. Throughout the year, I'll be attempting to build a class set of textbooks needy students can take home and use.
