In society today, we assume everyone has access to technology. However, most of my students do not have access to computers or internet at home. With my students already starting their educational careers at a disadvantage due to their disabilities, they need all available resources to catch up to their same age peers. Devices like iPads allow students to utilize technology to improve on reading and math skills. Applications can be downloaded for each student’s specific needs and ability levels. Students who struggle with reading can have books read to them and those who struggle with math can practice different strategies.
