Flexible seating allows students to choose how they learn best. Students need to be comfortable while they work. Some prefer to sit at a table or on the floor, stand, or move around the classroom.
My students are more engaged when they get to choose where to sit when they work. The wobble chairs are great for students to need to move around when they work. Students who like to work in a quiet space can choose to sit on comfy floor seating in the library. I have noticed that sitting at a table does not work for all students but flexible seating helps students focus more on their work.
