The lemonade stand and the shopping cart will enhance many meaningful learning activities in our Pre-K classrooms. The stand will be used as a prompt and be changed monthly according to our themes. It will be promote creativity, to provide high order thinking skills, and social emotional skills. We can use the lemonade stand to teach math skills such as money, counting, and sorting. For Social Studies we can use it to teach the difference between consumer and producers. For science the children can use the stand and grocery cart to learn about various food groups nutrition, and meal planning.
