Young students need to move! Having flexible seating in the classroom gives students a choice for where they can be comfortable while learning. Classroom rigor requires more time spent indoors, however by allowing students a choice in seating and providing seats that allow movement student can remain positive while learning.
Flexible seating elevates learning by keeping students motivated and engaged. The seating that I have chosen for my students is perfect for second graders. The wobbly stools can be used at desks and tables as well as moved around for group work. I would love to be able to offer these choices for my students.
