My students would greatly benefit from a classroom rug. A rug will allow us to have somewhere to sit for larger group instruction or as a flexible seating option for floor sitting instead of always having to sit at desks or a table. Having a rug will make my classroom look and feel more inviting. The students will also be able to use the rug for relaxing while reading a book, working on social skills, playing games, doing group activities, or working with center type activities. Many of my students need a different option rather than sitting in a desk for an entire class period.
