Everyone loves to drum. Unfortunately, not everyone loves to exercise. These exercise balls and buckets will allow my students to incorporate their musical talents with exercise/movement. The activity of choreographed drum sets with movement will allow students who may just love one (drumming) or the other (movement) to fall in love with both, while participating in a joyful, engaging activity. The Hit to Be Fit program I would like to implement will be embedded with drumming routines that are engaging, challenging, and meaningful. Integration of the Arts can be very powerful. In our class, we will integrate the knowledge and skills that the students are learning during their Music class. We will learn choreographed routines, that will sound amazing, raise our heartbeats, and make us work up a sweat! Our culmination project will be a student performance for the entire student body. My students love performing for their peers. I look forward to providing a fun, engaging, meaningful program for my students.
