I would love to get rug spots for my students so that they can focus in whole group lesson plans. Students in my room are taught the concept in whole group then return to their seats to work independently. The current floor spots can be moved around and do not stay in place. This can often cause the students to become distracted and disengaged in the lesson, which means more time spent redirecting behaviors and not focused on the lesson. Having the carpet will greatly decrease the amount of redirection of behaviors and spend that time on instructional time for the class.
