A clean new carpet in the classroom will enable my students to learn and focus.
A carpet is where main instruction takes place in 1st grade. My students will sit on the carpet with math manipulative and learn about numbers. Starting the year with a new carpet and learning how to care for it will foster a caring classroom community. This will instill values in the classroom that will transition into everyday life. As a teacher and a parent, I know the importance of a safe, fun, clean classroom, and this is what I wish for all children.
