My students come from a low-income area. Some students are not able to provide instruments or items used in class. This project will provide drum sticks and reeds for students who cannot afford to provide. Having quality drumsticks and reeds is a huge part of being successful in band. This also allows students not to fall behind in class because of financial constraints. Currently, students are offered school owned instruments to use in class if they are not able to afford one. This project would allow the band to expand these items to students.
