I routinely give out a handful of pencils every class period. I am currently buying them myself, but, could really use some support! These kiddos do not have the financial ability to provide classroom pencils.
Students will use pencils to take notes, write examples, and complete various enhancing classroom activities designed to further strengthen their number sense and introduce them to the awesome world of higher level mathematics.
Pencils would make a difference because students will not have to worry about finding a pencil. They will be able to work together and complete projects, graphs, and all other math related assignments.
