As a teacher establishing my first personal classroom, I have (in the past) begged and borrowed all materials used within my long term substitute positions, or so I thought. I finally, fortunately have a classroom to call "home" and have accepted the reality that I have honestly previously taken the technology available within the classrooms I've taught, for granted. Not having access to a projector, to share documents and collaborate with my students has been a great challenge within my new placement. Though I am truly grateful for the few things that I do have available, I would love the small, yet greatly impactful, addition of a projector within my classroom. Within education, relevancy becomes increasingly important for the greatest levels of comprehension; with student interests often based in technological devicesthe connection to technology within the classroom yields the ability to make these connections.
