As the DECA Sponsor, we rely on fundraisers to support our dues, conference attendance and field trip expenses. Last school year (2020-21) because of COVID, we were not allowed to have our biggest fundraiser, weekly cookie sales. I challenged my students to come up with a "COVID Friendly" fundraiser. The DECA $ Store was born! All items including chips, candies, gum, drinks, etc... are self serve. However, because we do not have a beverage cooler, we must restock the portable "coke" cooler, daily with ice, which means the melted ice must be drained daily, too. These steps are time-consuming and in business, "time is money"! This project would fund a beverage cooler that holds up to 138, 12 oz. cans. Please support our business by approving this project! My students already know inventory control, cash-flow, profit/loss statements, supply chain, staffing challenges, price per unit, price comparison and value of competition!
