These books will allow students to continue being engaged with reading. Next year, I will be moving to third grade with my students. My students loved the classroom library this year. I want to continue providing my students with access to books that are at their level and which they are excited to read.
The books I have chosen, will ensure that all readers in the classroom find something they are interested in. I noticed that my students gravitated toward graphic novels this year, so I included books like Bad Guys and Last Kids on Earth. In addition, I want to continue building a library where my students feel connected to the stories they read. The diversity in the books will give more students a chance to relate to the stories.
