My inner city school is located in a very low performing district. I have many students with learning disabilities. They come from poverty and have recently come to our country. During every lesson I try to model what they need to do on the rug. The students' first language isn't English, therefore, learning without visuals is difficult. We also need a group rug. When we sit together on the very old rug we have now, we can't all fit!
