The table I am requesting is specifically designed for small group instruction. It is ideal since it is U-shaped and gives me close proximity to all of the students in my small groups. These tables allow me to directly face all of my students, pass out materials easily and view students’ work to provide feedback. I would use this table several times a day for our small reading, writing, and math groups where I can work with students closely, get and maintain students’ attention and provide instant feedback on their thinking. Effective small groups are an essential part of a classroom!
