Our society is ever changing and as school counselors, we are wanting to bring the theme of Social Emotional Learning to our students. Our goal is to support them through creating Calm Down Centers for them to acknowledge, understand and self-regulate how they are feeling when they are exposed to a stressful situation.
The colorful baskets will hold all of the resources: stress ball, calm down charts on cardstock, and a calm down bottle that contains: glitter, glue and food coloring. These resources will help the students identify what helps them calm down and recognize the appropriate steps to self-management and self-control.
