Reading is a life-long skill that all student should strive to be successful in. Unfortunately, many of my students struggle in this area.
I currently teach language arts and social studies in a small town in which poverty is a large issue in our schools. Approximately 59% of our students qualify for the free or reduced lunch program. We also have a large Hispanic population, many of which struggle in our reading classes due to language barriers.
Regardless of economical status or ethnicity, all of our students have one thing in common: a love of technology. I would like to provide my students with the opportunity to use this love of technology to help further their education.
