Reading high interest, diverse novels with characters that look like my students, will enable them to better reflect and connect to current issues. The book club will serve as a outlet where my students can read for pleasure, let their voices be heard, discover and grow as readers. The book club will enhance their learning experience, build character, promote critical thinking skills and serve as a motivating support system. The donations to this project will provide books that my students can relate to and will encourage them to become lifelong readers. By donating you will help my students reach their full potential as readers.
