This is my first year teaching 1st grade all content in a new school district. My students don't have many supplies, which means I am required to provide what's missing. My students are like a family and talk to each other nonstop. Currently I have lots of personality and learning abilities. It's a challenge, but I want to give them a full classroom. One big thing we are missing are headphones to go with iPads. We use them for instruction and assessments.
While Math, Reading and Writing are my primary focuses, I teach Science, Social Studies and Social Emotional Learning. Throw in a little bit of life skills too. How to tie a shoe is most popular.
