In kindergarten space is important. Children learn the importance of personal boundaries and that certain places require different rules. This rug will provide student a place to sit for calendar time and reading centers. They will have more opportunities to make good behavior choices because the rug will define the space they need to stay in. Also, kindergarten students need to move around the classroom. This rug will create a different space to learn to help with attention span. It will also provide additional exposure to letter names and sounds. It will add color to the room which will make it more inviting and comfortable in the classroom.
