This school year, I plan to focus on teaching my students how to write. Writing can be a tough skill to master. At the beginning of the school year, students will be given a daily message to write in their primary writing journal. They will always draw a picture that relates to that daily message. As the year progress, students will learn skills that they can use to begin writing independently. These primary journals are a great way to document the progress of each student's writing.
In addition, the headphones will be used to allow each student time to listen to stories. The headphones are essential to help the students to focus and to not get distracted by events taking place in our classroom.
