We need Magna-Tiles to help them work on basic shapes, critical thinking, beginning engineering skills, and social skills by sharing and collaborating. With Magna-Tiles, my students can apply their knowledge of shapes to create structures which will allow them to focus on the engineering design process while collaborating with their peers!
These tiles are so valuable because they have endless possibilities and will be used time and again for various projects.
Students love materials that seem like toys and these fit that bill. The students get so caught up in "playing" that they don't even realize all that they are learning at the same time. Magna-Tiles will allow for a great deal of hands-on learning, as well as many opportunities for student collaboration and academic conversation. Please consider donating to bring this great addition to our classroom STEM materials.
