Our school focuses heavily on language arts and math which is very important, but I would also like my students to have positive learning experiences in science. My students do not have the opportunities to learn about science at home so my goal is to provide science experiences that they can learn from and get excited about.
I would love to have a model of our sun, earth and moon so my students can explore the movement of the moon around the earth. We can also learn about the seasons and moon phases.
The Laboratory and Measurement Kits will help build an understanding of how to gather information, graph, analyze and interpret scientific diagrams.
We will learn about simple machines, rocks and physical matter. My students will be able to touch, feel and observe what is in front of them instead of only reading about it. They will be fully immersed in learning and their depth of knowledge will grow. We will be able to make charts and use our writing skills to show the data we find and what we learn from these science experiences. By providing these hands-on science experiences my students will learn and be excited about science.
