When students are able to use a dry erase board to show their work, they tend to be more engaged than just using paper and pencil.
There are many advantages to using the boards in class! They can be used as a large group for me to quickly assess understanding. They can be used in small groups for students to see different ways of solving problems. They can be used individually by students to cut down on the amount of paper being wasted.
It is always challenging to get students to show me their thinking, and I know using these boards will get them excited about this!
