Students will be able to create a 3-D country map with clay, using map reading skills. They will be able to choose a country that they are interested in from the list of countries that we will be studying throughout the year. They will form and label the mountains, valleys, rivers, lakes, and oceans as well as the major cities and the neighboring countries according to how they appear on a map.
Once dry, they will then paint their maps, using the acrylic paint, to represent how the country looks from space.
Students will then present their countries to the class and exhibit the knowledge they have gained.
