My students' favorite Unit in PE is our Tumbling/Gymnastic Unit. The unit culminates with the students choreographing their own routine in which they have to demonstrate the variety of rolls we've practiced and group balance stunts.
Every year we invite the whole school into the gym to watch the routines that my PE students come up with for our Gymnastics/Tumbling unit. It has become a really popular event that everyone looks forward to. My students choose music to go with their routine and many of them even coordinate costuming.
We are short mats every single year. It always depends on my class size, but generally we are short 6-10 mats. The students take approximately three days to work on their routines and each group needs to have a four to six mats to practice.
This gift would not only benefit my PE students but also our school community. If we get these mats I would be so happy to send a video of some of our best performances!
Please help our students get the materials they need to put on a fantastic gymnastic performance!
