I am a reading teacher at my school. I am new to teaching reading and it is my first year at a new school, so my classroom library is lacking. I specifically chose books such as, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, The Tales of Desperaux, Matilda, Titanic, Who Was Amelia Earhart, etc. to ensure that I had a broad range of literary and informational books represented. I want to ensure that I provide several options of books for my students to choose from. My students all read at varying levels and are entitled to a diverse, engaging classroom library and I greatly want to provide this for them. Students become better readers by reading and I want to foster a lifelong love of reading for each of my students. So, I want to provide them with a classroom library that is rich in diversity and have multiple genres represented.

About my class
