My speech and language students have difficulty with vocabulary and verbal expression. Having fun, colorful, engaging manipulatives to match favorite books will encourage participation, expand language, and increase excitement about literacy. Being able to retell a story is a vital first step to being able to create their own stories. This storytelling kit will help my students' increase their vocabulary, name and describe objects, and learn sequential ordering.
My students learn best by engaging in hands on activities!
Many of my students also have attention difficulties and having something to keep their hands busy increases both language and participation.
These new materials will help my students remain engaged and excited to participate in literacy and speech therapy.
