As the librarian for a diverse middle school of over 750 students, I aim to make the library a welcoming, inclusive space for learning, creativity, and community. The library supports students throughout the day with resources for research, independent reading, collaboration, and quiet reflection.
Beyond academics, the library serves as a vibrant hub for after-school enrichment. We host several clubs that engage students in meaningful ways:
Battle of the Books – Encouraging teamwork and a love of reading through friendly competition.
(hopefully) Ukulele Club – A creative outlet where students learn to play and perform music together.
Yearbook Club – Empowering students to document and design the story of the school year.
Chess Club – Fostering critical thinking.
Our goal is to nurture curiosity, build connections, and create a space where every student feels inspired to grow.
