We use a lot of markers and crayons to make a more exciting Geography and World History course: maps, art work, posters, etc. all support the textual foundation of the program--and are especially important to visual learners and artistic kids.
We make timelines, maps, pictures, and posters. When studying the Renaissance, we made Sistine Chapel ceiling reproductions; we did something similar for Mughal Empire miniatures in India. Today, I'm planning a simulation of the assembly line and would love to have more markers so that the kids can draw ("build") parts of the Model-T and send it down the line.
