My kindergarten students come from low-income families. Despite that, they are in a Dual Language Spanish program at school where they are learning to read in Spanish and English. Our class will love to have authentic Spanish books to read and enjoy because it is so hard to find those.
Having authentic Spanish books in our classroom provides students a wonderful opportunity to have connections with other cultures from the world, this provides them curiosity, imagination and open-minded skills.
As an Spanish teacher, having more resources will help me in my lessons so they will be more engaging for my little students while learning a second language. You will be surprised all the achievement we have made through the year leaning to read, speak, listen and write in Spanish!
