These materials will allow my students to maintain a personalized binder and notebook throughout the year. Students often know way more than they think they know, but since they don't have reliable ways to organize their material, they lose it all and forget what they've worked so hard to learn! This also gives me the opportunity to work one-on-one with students before and after school, ensuring that they'll have plenty of reference material. With these binders and notebook, I"ll also be able to teach primarily freshmen some valuable organization skills that will set them up for success throughout high school. The easel pads allow for presentation of group projects, allowing for easier collaboration and differentiated instruction. Students love getting up out of their seats and working with their peers, and this facilitates deeper understanding of math concepts. Finally the lap boards allow me to see exactly how much the class understands material. This allows me to address misconceptions very early in the lesson.
Overall, these supplies give students the opportunity to learn valuable organization skills and more deeply internalize math concepts, and they will help me differentiate instruction for my diverse learners. I hope you're able to help me provide the excellent education that these children, and all children, deserve.
