The use of computers has now become the new norm, even for grade school students. If teaching virtual during COVID taught me anything, it is that we need to start teaching our students how to use the internet and computers daily, as virtual learning is not only a thing of the past. With each student being able to have one to one wireless mouse it will allow the students to not struggle manipulating the pages and able to navigate the computer easier than having to use the track pad of the Chromebooks. The use of the wireless mouse can be beneficial to all standards across the board. Students will be able to move around math manipulatives on math programs, drag and drop on worksheets, and even illustrate pictures during reading and science.
The small portable LED lights I will use to help motivate and build stamina in my students reading with "Reading in the Dark Fridays". Something so small and simple will still have these 5th graders excited and looking forward to opening up their books.
