Art is a time for my students to practice fine motor, communication, and imagination skills. Based on our monthly themes and weekly books we create art activities that support our students need to develop these skills. My students are able to explore the theme and concepts through a different lens when participating in art activities. The easel will support the students growth by allowing them to participate in an activity alongside their peers while keeping their body engaged by standing. We do a number of projects that the students can glue items together as well as using glue to create 'glurch' that the students help make. The art materials that we use on a weekly basis; paint and markers can be enhanced through additional supplies. The sponge assortment, magic nuudles, wiggle eyes, and chenille stems provide opportunities to engage in art activities more creatively.
