Having an iPad in my classroom would help to motivate my students to work their hardest in order to earn time using the iPad, would be an excellent tool for staff to use to collect academic and behavioral data for each student to monitor individual progress, and is a fun way to sneak learning opportunities into the special education classroom. Students learn to share, take turns, wait for preferred items, be careful and responsible with materials, attend and play many games involving letter sounds, counting and puzzles. The iPad can also be used to watch dance videos for movement breaks.
