I am hoping to receive a classroom rug that provides personal space for 20 students. The rug is decorated with letters, and numbers from 1 to 20. This large, educational rug would be very beneficial to my class.
A large carpet provides the opportunity to sit and learn as a class, while affording the personal space needed for children who are still learning to regulate their bodies and emotions. We come together as a group several times a day. We begin and end our day with a class meeting where we form relationships with each other by singing, dancing, and discussing important moments in our lives. Mathematic and Language Arts concepts are also introduced as a group. This rug would help create a central area for these activities, while creating a natural boundary for movement.
